Position Summary
Unistar-Sparco is seeking an experienced AV / Low Voltage Technician to support our expanding technology services. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy, customer service-driven person who is dedicated, hardworking, and motivated to grow with a rapidly expanding organization. Training is provided on the job with a Lead Technician and/or Lead Trainer.Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and troubleshoot AV and low-voltage systems (including projectors, security cameras, and interactive boards) at customer sites.
- Run, terminate, label, and test low voltage/data cabling to meet quality and performance standards.
- Provide professional, responsive customer service and communicate work status clearly with customers and internal teams.
- Work alongside Lead Technicians/Trainers to follow installation standards, safety practices, and project requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience installing and/or repairing projectors.
- Experience with security camera installations.
- Strong background in cabling (running, terminating, and testing).
- Strong customer service skills and a professional, dependable work ethic.
- Consistent attendance, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply on-the-job training.
- Able to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds or more.
- Follow required safety procedures.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- This position will require some travel and overnight stays(compensated).
Preferred Skills
- Broader low-voltage experience (AV, access control, cameras, structured cabling).
- Familiarity with diagnosing signal/cabling issues and validating system performance.
- Comfort working on ladders, in ceilings, or other installation environments, and experience with power tools.
- No experience required, but preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Work Environment
This position is hands-on and field-focused and may require work in schools, offices, and other customer environments.
